NAMANE Card Payment/Usage Guide
A NAMANE Card has two balances: Pay balance and Transit balance. The Pay balance is used via IC chip at offline stores and taxis; the Transit balance is used by tagging the card on buses, subways, and trains.
- · Top up a NAMANE Card without opening a bank account, and use it for public transit + offline store payments.
- · When you pay with the Pay balance on a card registered in the NAMANE app, you'll get a push notification.
- · You can freely convert between the Pay balance and Transit balance.
Pay Balance Payment
Pay by inserting the IC chip into the payment terminal. This works at any offline store — convenience stores, cafes, restaurants, PC cafes — and in taxis via IC chip payment too. Note that payment may be restricted at hotels and mobile-carrier payment terminals.

Transit Balance Payment
Pay by tagging the card. It works on buses (nationwide buses, Seoul/Jeju city tour buses, airport limousines), subways (nationwide), trains (KTX, Saemaeul, Mugunghwa, ITX-Cheongchun, Nooriro, etc.), highway tollgates, express bus terminals, convenience stores nationwide (CU, Emart24, StoryWay), Railplus sticker partner merchants, KTX onboard sales carts and in-station Cafe StoryWay, and railway station parking lots nationwide (41 stations including Seoul, Daejeon, East Daegu, Gyeongju, Busan, Changwon, Masan, Yeosu Expo).
